Our school district is using both Safari Montage and Edmodo, which is a type of educational Facebook for teachers and students. When I created a playlist and posted its permanent link to a group of students in Edmodo, the link opened to my Safari Montage account, which means students had access to editing or deleting the playlist. Actually they had access to everything that I have access to in Safari Montage. Is there a way that students will only be able to see and use the playlist without its various options and without being in my account? If that's not possible, I cannot embed or post Safari Montage to any other application that I want students to use although it was announced to me that this was possible.

Good afternoon Sigrid,

First of all, I have to say how excited I am that you are using the permanent link feature of SAFARI Montage AND integrating with Edmodo. I and the rest of our community would love to know more about this engaging practice.

Can I ask you a clarifying question? When you say that the link opened directly to your account, I am wondering if you, yourself actually clicked the link that you put in your Edmodo page? If so, then what you describe as happening would certainly be the right functionality and you would link directly to your logged in account, seeing all the teacher rights.

When students are logged in to their SAFARI Montage accounts and are presented with a permanent link, when they click that link, they are brought directly to the resource (after logging in of course). They would only have the ability to play what you created, not make any modifications.

I would like to investigate this issue with you further. Can you email me directly and we'll figure it out together?

Thanks for your inquiry and have a great week!
