Abstract:

Show students the first clip and discuss the elements of scientific investigation. Make sure students understand what a hypothesis is and the importance of making observations and recording data. Next, have students conduct at least one of the four investigations. Provide students with the blackline master for the investigation, which can be found in the Supplemental Teacher’s Documents section of the show in which the investigation appears.
