This week, students at Mansfield High School were given the opportunity to interact with MHS alumni currently enrolled in college using Safari Montage Live.  Former MHS students shared advice on what high school students can do to prepare for college, experiences with campus life, the importance of setting goals, applying for scholarships, and getting involved with extracurricular activities while in high school and college.  SML allowed students to connect with alumni in Austin, College Station, New York, and Oklahoma.  We are looking forward to finding new ways to enhance instruction using SML in the future.

Thanks for sharing Kristi. Your idea got me thinking about other ways to use SML to prepare our high school students for the future. It would be great to use your alumni community to conduct mock interviews (college or job) with students to help them to prepare to talk about themselves and present themselves professionally. I would be interested to hear if anyone has tried that.

What a great use for SML, Kristi, that is a great way to introduce the college experience to the high school students.
